Tom lives in the countryside near a rural town of Elk River, Minnesota - U.S.A. and enjoys the casual atmosphere of the region, being able to shoot targets and hunt from his "backyard"! When Tom is not traveling around the world doing shows that will astonish everybody - He is usually hunting or fishing near his home.
He has worked for a Park & Recreation Service, namely "Three Rivers Parks", in the state of Minnesota for 25 years. His love for the outdoors, hunting, fishing, conservation of our natural resources, dogs, and target shooting is unsurpassed. He was able to sharpen his shooting skills with a Daisy, mod. 25 - BB gun at the age of 9 years. He was shooting pheasants under the direction of his father with a 20-gauge shotgun at the age of 11 years. He shot ATA handicap trap for 15 years, gaining a reputation of a high average yardage shooter, holding a 96.8 average for 6 years consecutive. He now shoots about 40,000 shots per year, where as in his practice years he would shoot more than 100,000 shots per year, (.22 & shotgun). Actually, he is not such a good hunter, but if a deer, goose, or rabbit gets in front of his Benelli, he will probably hit it! He has been known to throw an axe like a Viking. The year 2002 puts Tom at the age of "52 Years" and he's still turning targets into "SMOKE"! Going fishing is easy for Tom because of all the freshwater lakes that surround his area, (Minnesota is the land of 10,000 lakes), but "catching" fish is a different story! Just ask Colleen! Give him a Benelli instead of a fishing pole and he'd do all right!
